Westmoreland, Fayette, Somerset Projects Obtain $723K Through Commonwealth Funding Authority

Greater than $723, 500 has been granted by the Earth Financing Expert for ecological and recreational projects in Westmoreland, Fayette and Somerset counties, based on state Sen. Patrick Stefano, R-Connellsville.

“I am pleased that our location will reap the benefits of this necessary state financing for important public improvements to better function area residents and companies, ” Stefano said. “These local projects will help to give rise to our regional economy plus improve the quality of life for those who live here. ”

Projects that have received funding are:

fluff; Mountain Watershed Association: $100, 000 for the development of typically the Indian Creek Valley Path gorge area in Springfield, Westmoreland Region. Project will incorporate improving the 4. 3-mile section of path.

bull; Redevelopment Authority regarding Fayette County: $167, 193 for the repair and replacement of a concrete wall along Redstone Creek in Uniontown. Project will reduce the probability of severe flooding in the the downtown area area.
